Crumb Cake Recipe
Streusel Mixture:
½ cup light brown sugar, firmly packed 2 teaspoons cinnamon 1 teaspoon nutmeg ½ cup finely choped walnuts 2 tablespoons butter
Batter:
1 large egg, slightly beaten ¼ cup sugar 1 cup milk 2 ½ cups Bisquick Baking Mix 2 tablespoons butter, melted
Preheat the oven to 375 degrees. Grease a 9-inch by 9-inch by 1 ¾ -inch pan. Make the streusel mixture by combining all ingredients; set aside. Make the Coffee Cake. In a medium bowl, beat the egg, sugar and milk until well blended. Add the biscuit mix and butter, mixing until well combined. Add half of the streusel mixture to the batter, stirring just until blended. Turn the batter into the prepared pan and sprinkle the rest of the streusel mixture over the top. Bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the top is golden brown. Cut into squares and serve while still warm.
